Best Black Beans:
- A can of black beans (not rinsed)
- A dash of cumin and salt
- A drizzle of honey
- A bay leaf
- One clove of garlic, very finely chopped
- A few drops of Tabasco
Let those simmer together while the rice is cooking, and in the last minute add some fresh cilantro. A bit of cheese and sour cream would have really hit the spot right now.
