Yesterday I was making an Heirloom basil salad at the soup kitchen. They get free organic produce because it’s so expensive, if it’s slightly blemished stores can’t sell it. These tomatoes probably sell at the farmer’s market for 8$/lb. Oh, the irony. I got to go home with a HUGE bag of basil, so if you’re up for pesto, pistou, tomato soup, or what have you, call me.
