  1. Assuming the apparent meat that surrounds what seems to be a poached rather than a fried egg is in fact bacon, my question is whether it is turkey bacon, soy bacon, Canadian bacon, or another variety. The picture is beautiful indeed but how is that “world cup” produced?

  2. Well, JP, had you read the previous post more carefully you would find out that it is indeed turkey bacon. The way this is made is that the bacon is laid in a little cup and the egg is broken into that, and this goes into the oven for about 20 minutes. I think my cup doesn’t conduct heat too well, because the bacon was a little undone and I had to pan fry it to brown it– perhaps I need to use an aluminum instead of a ceramic cup. Thought?
